Description:

This augmented reality experience, tailored specifically for Losner Park in Homestead, Florida, offers an engaging exploration of the Everglades and its significant ecological species. Users are invited to utilize their phone’s camera to uncover and interact with meticulously crafted 3D representations of various plant and animal life native to both the Everglades and Biscayne Bay.

The application allows players to engage with these virtual species through activities such as feeding and dancing, while also enabling them to curate a personal Biodex that showcases their discoveries. A noteworthy incentive for players is the opportunity to win a 3D-printed sculpture upon identifying all species included in the experience.

Developed by the Miami-based nonprofit artist collective Before It's Too Late (BITL), this project is a collaboration with The Everglades Foundation and receives sponsorship from the City of Homestead, highlighting a commitment to both art and environmental education.
